Getting to the British Virgin Islands from the U.S. is fairly easy as you can fly from most major hubs in the USA via San Juan, Puerto Rico or St Thomas. From Puerto Rico to Tortola it’s a short 35 minutes flight with either Cape Air, Air Sunshine or Seaborne and from St Thomas, Air Sunshine and Cape Air both of which fly to Tortola, or you can take the ferry from St Thomas to Tortola or Virgin Gorda which takes approximately 45 minutes.
If you would like to arrive in style you can charter a private aircraft from Puerto Rico or St Thomas to Tortola, Virgin Gorda or Anegada. This is of course more expensive, but you would be met straight off your flight and taken to your waiting aircraft. It’s an excellent service and the perfect way to arrive into the BVI.
